When I saw the Windham color palette, I was transported back to my childhood, eating candy apples at the county fair. I vividly remembering the sticky sweet red exterior and the juicy crunch of the interior. So I had to use all the colors to make an apple. As I recall, it was hard to eat the whole thing! When the piecing was done, the graphic design reminded me of an alphabet primer, thus the “A” was added in the quilting.
