I've made a number of botanical quilts, all roughly the same size. Some of my recent ones are abstracted from realism. The fabric colors in this year's challenge reminded me of a succulent in the echeveria family. I learned a new piecing technique to put it together,and repeated the leaf motifs in the negative space.
