(MIN022) Mulberry Swirl

This quilt is part of an ongoing series that explores movement and energy. Over the past two years, I've learned about Procion MX Fiber Reactive Dyes and incorporated hand-dyed fabrics into my designs. This piece features a multi-step gradation of a single hue, transitioning from its darkest value to its lightest. The placement of similar values next to one another creates an optical illusion known as “fluting”, where a single piece of fabric appears to change color from one side to the other.
