(PCG036) Paperdrop

Paperdrop was designed in response to a simple brief: create a quilt using 2:1 half-rectangle triangles. I reworked an old design – originally posted on my blog and Instagram as Sunday sketch #31 in January 2017 – and simplified the piecing to avoid any partial seams. The shapes are reminiscent of the folds of origami, while the colour placement suggests two sides to every series of folds. Paperdrop was published as a quilt pattern in collaboration with Latifah Saafir Studios.
