This quilt is based on the traditional block, Maltese Cross #2765, as identified by Barbara Brackman in her book , Encyclopedia Of Pieced Quilt Patterns. Using the software program EQ 8, I was able to enlarge the block size and color the blocks to create depth and transparency for this quilt pattern. Hand quilting around the inner border of multiple circles adds to the complexity of the design. How many circles do you see?
