I made this wall hanging for the SBAMQG’s Pantone Color of the Year challenge. The COTY for 2023 was Viva Magenta and the challenge was to make a quilt featuring that color, along with the theme of 23. I designed and made four blocks, each containing 23 strips of Magenta. Colors used were Kona Sangria, Sprout, Burgundy, and Marmalade. This was an original design, created through sketch work, though I’m sure many quilters have used this very basic layout for their quilts in the past.
