Based on the traditional Goshen Star block, this quilt modifies some of the design elements of the traditional block (such as elongating the diamonds and using a non-traditional construction method to better feature the vibrant pink fabric) and breaks out specific elements from the block along the edges. The primary color is a close match to "Viva Magenta" the 2023 Pantone color of the year, and this quilt was started for the #pantonequiltchallenge2023. White-on-white and black-on-black prints add some additional depth and movement within the high-contrast checkerboard layout. Biblically, "Goshen" is the land of comfort and plenty. Construction includes 216 diamonds made using FPP at 64 fussy-cut squares.
