It’s time for the 4-patch to gain some traction in the Modern Traditionalism category. Move over HST! I wanted to experiment with a simple, traditional block - using only color and placement to create movement and interesting patterns. This quilt is made up of 4-patch blocks that have been modernized with two curved quadrants. The use, and placement, of yummy grunge fabrics creates not only movement, and interesting patterns, but also an ethereal “glow” - all with the mighty 4-patch. The quilting is inspired by parquet flooring with inset designs (in this case inset diamonds). I hope you enjoy this experiment!
