Along with quilting, interior design is one of my passions. I tend to see quilt patterns almost everywhere I look; tile, pillows, woodwork, etc. If you're a child of the 90's like I am, you may remember looking down at the floor in your school, or the mall, and seeing tiny speckled floors in an array of colours. Fast forward to 2023, and Terrazzo tile is everywhere again. I couldn't help but notice the lines, patterns, and angles of the tiny little specks in the tile. I immediately saw how I could improv piece the individual speckles and join them together randomly to create a terrazzo tile inspired quilt.
