When I saw an embroidered dishtowel design on TikTok, I knew I had to translate it into fabric. Basic black and white solids pieced into precise 1/4" lines juxtapose improvisational, imperfect quilting that mirrors my own therapeutic journey. Smooth straight seams collide with chaotic stitching, representing the uneven nature of processing emotions. Some things come easily, some feel messy, and some seem off-kilter. But it's all part of the imperfectly perfect whole that is me. Through fabric and thread, this quilt maps my path to self-acceptance. My hope is that Thoughts After Therapy inspires you to creatively embrace your own beautifully imperfect process.
