The composition of this piece is inspired by antique Japanese Kimono designs with scenes flowing from the top to the bottom of the fabric. I am a quilt piecer and created a design mixing different piecing styles. I am surprised how tranquil viewing the piece feels. Typically, fuchsia creates a lot of energy and I feel peace and focus when viewing the entire piece. This piece is machine pieced with machine turned applique.
