Use Your Illusion 2 is the second in a series of quilts based on variations of a signature-type block (minus the signatures!). The viewer is invited to observe the design both as a 2D study in symmetry and also as a 3D illusion enhanced by the relatively minimal quilting. The pairs of blues and purple/pinks chosen for the challenge lend themselves well to creating the illusion of depth and distance, and the accent colors provide the means to add secondary - or even tertiary - patterns to the design.
