Shot cottons, hand dyes, yarn dyes, linens and just regular ole cotton solids from a variety of fabric manufacturers make an appearance in this quilt. The scraps are stuffed into fabric tubes, or strips, of Oakshott shot cottons from the United Kingdom. I estimate the number of different fabrics in this quilt to be well over one hundred. Working with all of the colors makes for soothing sewing in a Michigan winter.
