This quilt was born from the scraps of a traditional sixteen patch. Each phase of this quilt (piecing, embroidery, quilting) was improvised and guided by my 'gut'. Improvisational quilt making has given me a new relationship with my intuition and has been a profound lesson in trusting my instincts, artistic or otherwise. It was a pleasure to watch 'Stardust' it materialize.
