Poppa, You Got a Bellybutton was inspired by my husband and grandson. After playing together, my husband was lying down, exhausted. My grandson leaned over and asked if he had a bellybutton. Kids never realize that adults were children once too - that everyone was someone’s baby once. The swirling patterns, colors, and fabrics reflect childhood and playing -- and time as it circles around and around and back on itself.
