Jazz is an design found on disposable coffee cups starting beginning in 1992. The original designer is disputed, with claims by Gina Ekiss (then known as Gina Boyd-Burgess) and Stephanie Miller. The challenge fabric colors immediately made me think of this iconic design. I divided the image into a grid and improv pieced each unit. The movement of the original design was fun to recreate in fabric and thread.
