Using materials retrieved from a landfill diversion give-away, this quilt is made from a limited batch of upholstery fabric samples. The circular form recalls the Target paintings of Jasper Johns. The colors and textures combine in a way that is painterly and reads as an adhoc color wheel or a target. The goal was to improvise a method of patternless curve making to create a circular field of lights and darks.
