Quilting is a lot of things: fun, expensive, a great way to spend all your waking hours. But did you know it can do wonders for your mental health? Join therapist and quilter Melissa de Leon Mason to understand the links between quilting and well-being. Learn about mindful practice and get inspired to unlock your own creativity while taking care of yourself. Attendees will learn how quilting can boost mental health and be given specific skills and techniques that pair modern quilting with mental wellness. They will be guided in mindfulness practices that have been shown to increase creativity. Attendees will walk away with knowledge about the therapeutic benefits of quilting as well as skills they can practice in their own lives.
