In this informative lecture, Christa will share the step-by-step processes & tools she uses to successfully prepare a quilt for domestic machine quilting. Attendees will learn best practices when it comes to selecting fabric, batting & thread, plus how to adequately baste your quilt so it won’t shift while quilting. Christa will also delve into a few “controversial” topics such as pressing and pre-washing; she’ll explain how the materials you choose can affect the look and feel of the finished piece. Bonus tips & tricks for using up leftovers on the back are included, plus she’ll discuss how all 3 layers can work together to create harmony in the quilt. ASL services provided through generous support from HandiQuilter.
