Sometimes a quilt’s piecing provides a grid, but sometimes we need to mark grids to fill in negative spaces and border pieces. Using some ruler/template work along with simple free-motion quilting, students will fill in spaces on pieced quilts with beautiful texture. Students will learn and practice ruler safety measures & techniques, ways to mark grids on quilts, orange peel & variants, continuous path quilting, dot to dot quilting, and planning areas and density. Longarm machines generously provided by HandiQuilter. Each student works on their own machine in these workshops, no sharing here!
