This workshop will use a fun English Paper Piecing pattern consisting of three different pieces that allows for individual layout both in the pieces themselves and fabrics used. Students will look at how the pattern can be used in a random layout for using up scraps or with specific placement to highlight the X shapes that appear as they piece. This versatile pattern offers the ability to alter both the layout and size of the finished piece enabling the maker to put their own stamp on it. Students will also review three different stitches for sewing pieces together, as well as other tips and tricks to build confidence in this transportable mindful hand-sewing technique.
