Required Supplies: Computer with Adobe Illustrator Creative Cloud installed. Support for earlier versions of Illustrator will be limited. The tablet version of Illustrator is not identical to the desktop and is not recommended. A trial version (unpaid and limited time access) of Illustrator may be used, but must be installed prior to the start of the workshop.
Optional Supplies: Please charge your laptop before the workshop. Power outlets will be available if needed.
Prep Requirements: No preparation (other than installation) is needed. We will take our time and work carefully through all the basic steps. It's going to be fun!
Design quilts with Adobe Illustrator! This workshop will start with the basics of setting up a workspace and saving files. Students will learn various techniques for creating basic shapes including squares, triangles, and quarter circles. Students will practice precise measurements and placement of shapes for increased accuracy in quilt designs. Other topics will include changing color, repeating shapes, and using layers - all boosting our efficiency and allowing the creation of amazing designs! This workshop is structured for beginners who have never used Illustrator. Students must bring their own laptop and power supply, with Adobe Illustrator installed and activated prior to class.
