You can’t call your quilt finished until the binding is complete. Even though it’s the last step, it is an integral part of a quilt in more ways than just covering the raw edges. Did you know a good binding can help a quilt lay flat? Students will learn the ins and outs of binding while creating samples that they can keep for future reference. Samples will include basic binding, flanged binding, and two-sided binding. While making these samples, students will learn how to bind corners of different angles, the secrets to sharp flat corners, finishing by hand or machine, and many hints and tips to successfully finish quilts! Sewing machines generously provided by event sponsors!
