Rather than centering the stars in each block, I designed this quilt by rotating the star quadrants so the center of the star was on the outside corners of each block. The effect is that your eye is drawn to many spots of the quilt, rather than just the center of each block. As a result there is a primary design of each block and secondary design where the blocks meet one another. I chose 18 different solids so each block was unique.
