Confluence #1 represents the merging of several paths artistically and personally. The shapes were cut improvisationally with no plan or inspiration, pieces were sewn together into larger units until they began to reveal a potential composition and gradually merged with each other. Personally, this represents a process of letting old beliefs and practices merge into new ones; recognizing what is important to me and how I want to approach my art moving forward.
