The design came from an idea to strip down the idea behind some recent quilts into a simple idea: 2 colors and negative space. I really wanted to see how a variety of oranges would sit against the two toned purple background. I love this color combination and just felt like exploring it. The design reminded me of the wings of a beautiful brilliant orange Dragonfly that I spotted hanging out on a lily this past summer.
