Made from my husband's military uniforms, this quilt represents his 20 year career in the Army. Plans laid out, assignments received, choices and repercussions -- rarely resulted in a straight line. The crooked path is both personal and universal. The quilt design is an expansion of a design in my memory quilt book, Quilt Your Story. Though to me it represents my husband's career, it can also be interpreted to reflect larger questions about the military and war fighting.
