Through grief I have been giving more thought to what happens after we are gone. Not so much about the lives I miss, but those who remain earthside who have just started their dizzying journey of finding a new way to live. I have watched them strive to find the balance in a world that seems entirely upside-down. I picture this quilt as the long corridor of life. The contrasting hues and tones represent the shift between the pain of loss and the relief of acceptance.
