Portland Modern Quilt Guild, put a call out for the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, the exhibit theme being inspired by music. There really wasn't a decision to be made, I always had wanted to make a quilt inspired by Eddie Van Halen's guitar, the Frankenstrat, a cross pollination of a Gibson and a Fender with many intricate details customized to Eddie's taste including the body painted using gaffer's tape. The guitar is housed in the National Museum of American History.
