My design for “Linearity: Points and Counterparts” utilizes crisscrossed narrow insets of fabric placed asymmetrically on background fabric. White and blue matchstick quilting running diagonally from the upper right to lower left corners subdivides the negative space. Additional matchstick quilting, some in two shades of shiny pink thread, accentuates the points and their counterparts. This quilt is one of several in my 2023 series of what I call “slasher quilts.”
