In this series, I've been contemplating the ethics of neutrality as I explore varying definitions of neutral color schemes from the realms of fashion and art. In addition to this conceptual framework, this series is relaxing to sew, a palette cleanser from my more personal quilts. The 5 (so far!) quilts in this series are among my most 'modern,' with bold high contrast color, minimalism, negative space, improvisation, and innovative construction techniques. I began this quilt while filming for QuiltCon Together. It also highlights skills from my Humongous Curvy Applique class last year.
