I love Double Wedding Ring quilts, and Victoria Findlay Wolfe’s modern design challenged me to deconstruct the pattern. This Double Wedding Ring has large, interesting negative spaces, which I wanted to densely quilt. I used a variety of ruler-work motifs to experiment with textures in the spaces between the points. I used the less-dense concentric curves and the river motif to keep the eye moving over entire quilt.
