The Art Deco architecture of Atlanta at QuiltCon 2023 inspired this group of friends to make our own Deco quilt. We studied different styles of Deco art and decided we loved the black and gold cityscapes in stylized posters. Each of us made a 12"x84" strip of our choice using the fabrics we chose as a group based on these posters. After the strips were complete, we met and arranged them to our satisfaction and completed the quilt. Using the ombre fabrics with metallics make this unique quilt shine like the night sky of the big city!
