This quilt was inspired by a challenge from the National Quilting Museum to turn the traditional "Carpenter's Square" block into a modern mini quilt. The block naturally lent itself to extending the lines through negative space. I thought it would be interesting to interlace two blocks in different colors, which led to an adventure in very small partial seams.
