Vortex Radial represents an evolution of design concepts in my Radial Quilt series. The high contrast pieced wedges arranged in irregular swooping arcs are designed to create the optical illusion of a spiraling vortex, resulting in a juxtaposition of both structure and movement. Just as one arc terminates, another begins!
