Striped fabrics have dominated my quilt fabric purchases through the years. Perhaps it is the colors paired in the stripe fabric that capture my interest. Or perhaps it is the variation in width of the stripes. Wide stripes produce dramatically different results than skinny ones. As a further exploration, strips of stripes cut in opposite angles can be stitched together to make chevrons, or as I call them, united stripes. The stripes then become agents of movement rather than just lines
