My Summer Journey series explores the interplay and tension between foreground and background, colors and values, and the contrast between them. The design was initially drawn on Procreate and manually scaled up on the design wall. The composition combines organically cut curved fragments with bold black and white accents and is a reflection of my personal journey as an artist; a journey of exploration and experimentation. The curved elements express adaptability and resilience, and the black and white is a reflection of the ongoing contrast of uncertainty and clarity, fear and hope, dark and light that accompany me on my journey.
