I began quilting in 2016 when I took a strip piecing class with Nancy Crow. I immediately fell in love with it. I have always done my design work by cutting and pasting colored paper, so quilting felt like a natural extension of that process. In quilting I discovered the freedom of working large and improvisationally. I am very drawn to curves and organic shapes which results in complicated construction. More experienced quilters told me "You are only doing that because you don't know how hard it is. That ignorance has led to bliss.
