Prague 2 was intended to be a part of a series of quilts reflecting on a place that I have visited in my travels - in this case the city of Prague. I have a family connection to this place as I am half-Czech. I am also an architect, so it was the hundreds of copper domes on all the buildings that really caught my imagination. I fell in love with their forms and layers - some incredibly simple and some really extravagant. I wanted this quilt to evoke looking up at the sky and catching the profile of one of those domes as the sun sets behind it.
