Don't stare for too long or this quilt might make you dizzy! The black shapes were created using FPP and are mimicked in the negative space they create. The center where the rows meet felt like eyes bugging out after staring at the illusion for too long. In these spaces are hand appliquéd circles to complete the eyes. The longarm quilting is by Brenda Phelps of @costumebrenda and features alternating rows of quilting within that negative space which gives the repetition a unique feel.
