This quilt is a take on a classic Ocean Waves quilt block. By working with a repeated shape, the interplay of color and value takes center stage. As I layout the colors and pieces, I am always trying to be aware of the viewer's experience, inviting them to explore the intricacies of the quilt while contemplating the interplay of shapes, colors, and values. As with everything I create, I strive to walk the line between harmony and discord.
