Want to create an original quilt design, but don't know where to start? Have a sketch but can't figure out how to make it reality? This workshop is the place for you! This workshop will discuss sources of inspiration and how to translate them into modern quilt designs, different construction methods and techniques, and basic quilt math concepts such as how to estimate required fabric yardage. This is intended to be a working session -- students should come prepared with inspiration photos, sketches, and questions to discuss with the instructor and fellow classmates.
Note: This is a no-sew workshop. This workshop is about how to translate your design concept(s) into a sewable quilt top for personal use; it is not about professional pattern writing or sales.
