You don't have to be a professional longarm quilter to produce a stunning quilt. We will discuss and learn to use free-motion motifs in areas defined by lines and channels. Both free-motion and ruler technique will be taught and practiced. Students will quilt on a pre-printed panel to learn how to enhance the piecing. Students will practice: ruler safety measures and techniques, using rulers to quilt lines and channels, simple but effective FMQ designs, continuous path quilting, and planning and marking a quilt with a lot of negative space. Longarm machines generously provided by HandiQuilter. Each student works on their own machine in these workshops, no sharing here!
