Jogakbo, or patchwork bojagi, embodies the philosophy of recycling, as they are made from remnants of leftover fabric. Thoughtfully arranged shapes and colors in bojagi often show very modern and abstract compositions. Youngmin will teach students basic jogakbo construction using Korean traditional techniques such as Gamchimjil, Settam Sangchim, and Ssamsol. Ssamsol is a durable and decorative seam technique where you use two different seam allowances. Join Youngmin on this relaxing hand stitching Bojagi journey. While working on your Bojagi, wish for the happiness and well-being of the recipient of your finished project.
