Improvisational piecing can be like telling a story that grows as you tell it. In this exciting workshop, students will explore how to develop a composition, play with color, make design decisions as you go, and find their voice. Whether they use figurative elements or go purely abstract, students will create a narrative through piecing. This workshop will begin with a short discussion, followed by sewing for the majority of the time together, and end with a group critique. Sewing machines generously provided by event sponsors!
